At Franklyn D Resort
and Spa, we bend over backwards to ensure
that each member of your family has a carefree and memorable experience. In addition to the numerous sports and
activities available to adults, other programs are carefully designed to include activities that infants, toddlers,
young children and teens love.

But there are also dozens of other activities available that range from arts & crafts to sports. Franklyn D Resort is the best place for them! SWIMMING-The main pool features a roped-off shallow end for toddlers and small children as well as a separate "slide" pool that's a big hit with our youngest guests. Vacation nannies will keep a close watch on your little ones so you can also relax while the kids safely have fun in one of the pools or at our kid-friendly beach.
BIG BLUE- One of the biggest hits with kids is our 100-foot water slide, affectionately known as "Big Blue". For children who can swim, zooming down the twists and turns of the slide and making a big splash in Big Blue's own pool is a rush they'll want over and over.
SPORTS- When they're tired
of swimming, splashing and sliding, a variety of activities awaits them.
They can enjoy soccer or snorkeling lessons, glass-bottom boat rides,
kayaks, tennis, basketball, or bicycle rides.
YELLOW BIRD KIDS' CLUB- This is the hub of activity for children of different ages. Our popular kiddie's centre is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. Our children's program is as varied and enjoyable as the junior guests themselves. Kids have their own playground, arts and crafts center and paddling pool, along with activities like shell hunts on the beach and tie-dye classes. While having fun, children will learn about life on a Caribbean coral reef, enter a talent contest, participate in swimming lessons, make a tie-dye outfit and learn about Jamaica. Teenagers are independent, fun-loving and adventurous. These are the characteristics that will let them take advantage of everything Franklyn D Resort has in store for them! They can learn new sports like snorkeling and tennis. They'll meet new friends from a variety of different places, mingle with their peers, and enjoy our computer room, games room, disco, and all the other cool stuff we offer. Our Teens Programme has every base covered to ensure that your teenagers will love the resort, Jamaica, and the memories travel home with them. Teens and preteens also enjoy our sports facilities: basketball,
tennis, pool/beach volleyball, snorkeling -- and lest we forget the tech-minded
teen, there are video games and our computer room. There are also reggae
dance classes, board games, table tennis and pool tables, organized "rap

(back to top) At our resort, adults can relax, unwind and truly rejuvenate themselves. But don't think for a minute you'll be bored. You may choose to have an afternoon cocktail, meet new friends and mingle at the bar and lounge, or enjoy dinner on the boardwalk as the sun sets. Nightly live entertainment is offered, backed by the Franklyn D Resort and Spa band. Showtime is 9 pm.

You can enjoy a relaxing yet You also can take a leisurely stroll down the mile-long white sand beach adjacent to the resort.
We also offer several shopping opportunities at the
resort.
Check the Tour Desk for a schedule of shopping trips to Ocho Rios, an excursion that is part of your all-inclusive package. Or, consider optional excursions to exciting places such as the world-famous Dunn's River Falls or Cranbrook Flower Forest. Various other optional tours are available to unique and thrilling attractions like Dolphin Cove in Ocho Rios, where you have the opportunity for an up-close encounter with dolphins in their natural habitat. Other great expeditions to the Blue Mountains in the east or to Negril in the west can also be arranged. Certified and offers the best in dive experiences ranging from Recreational to Professional experiences for beginners to professionals at both FDR Resorts. They offer the Bubblemaker's program for kids from 8 years and up, the Discover Scuba program for Teens and Adults, Padi Certification while on your vacation, night dives and much more. They are also Jamaica's ONLY IDC Dive Center with Nitrox & DPV. We also offer snorkeling at the coral reefs, along with snorkeling lessons and trips out on our own glass-bottom boat. Other water sports include kayaking and sailing. Our gym is fully-equipped so you have the chance to stay in shape. Use of machines and weights, and aerobic and aquacize classes are all part of the package. The games room is equipped with pool tables and table tennis. We also offer day and night tennis on our lit court. Then there is beach/pool volleyball, basketball, soccer, foosball and cycling. We have just about any sport to suit every member of the family.
Entertainment at The Franklyn D. Resort and Spa is nightly and lively. Every night, our resident band will keep you dancing under the stars. From ska to soca to reggae, you will dance your way through the captivating sounds of the Caribbean. Jamaica's talented cabaret singers will entertain you, or you can show off your talent in our Staff and Guest talent show. Bedtime ends up taking a backseat to a fascinating variety of singers, dance troupes, acrobats, limbo, fire-eaters and contortionists. Entertainment includes:
